Walking the Third Path is a relationship-based approach to student well-being and achievement which was developed by Dr. David Tranter, Tom Boland and Lori Carson. It is a teaching framework that integrates Path 1; social/emotional learning and Path 2; academic development. This model focuses on increasing deeper relationships between educators and students which has a positive impact on student’s academic success and well-being. PASS staff worked with Dr. David Tranter to create workshops for Matawa Schools, and have begun traveling to communities to teach school staff to this concept and explore how it can be implemented within the classroom.
